Auditions February 16, 2025. No Need to sign up, just show up one of the nights.

For the audition, you must be prepared with a 1-2 minute monologue. It needs to be memorized and it should not be from this show. There may also be a cold read during the audition.

Rehearsal Schedule: February 17-March 13

Usually Monday-Friday 6:00 pm-8:00 pm. Not every actor may be needed each night.

Show Dates: March 14th-16th and March 21-23rd

This production is a Box Show, designed for actors ages 13-18. This show is done in more of a workshop style then our other shows. This is a great opportunity for new actors as well as actors looking to do material that is a bit more challenging. There is a $50 production fee due on the first night of rehearsals.

Please fill out the audition form in advance and bring it with you to the theater. We will have some hard copies available if needed. We will also ask that only the actors auditioning enter the theater. Parents are asked to remain in their car or in the lobby.

If you are cast, you will be invited to the parent meeting on Thursday, February 16 at 6pm.

One Stoplight Town Summary

Synopsis

One Stoplight Town is a story about people from a town so small that you might drive through without taking a second look. But if you stopped for just a moment, you might see a young boy and girl fall in love, a cantankerous grocery store owner coping with change, a son returning home while a daughter thinks about leaving, and a handyman taking it all in while he fixes what is broken. These stories and more are filled with fun characters, lots of humor, plenty of heart and the theme that change comes for us all, whether we are ready or not.

One Stoplight Town is a story about the lives of quirky characters in a small town and the lessons they learn about change and personal growth

  • Characters: The story follows a young couple falling in love, a grocery store owner, a son returning home, a daughter considering leaving, a beauty queen, a drum major, and a handyman 

  • Theme: The story's theme is that change is inevitable, and that we must learn to adapt when it comes 

  • Lessons: The characters learn lessons about when to slow down, stop, and go in life 

  • Humor: The story is filled with humor and heart
